How to turn old pallet wood and reclaimed wooden parquet into beautiful and functional wall decor shelves?
In this DIY project, I show you how simple recycled materials can be transformed into a modern and cozy wall-mounted shelf system that adds character and storage to any room.
Instead of buying expensive wall shelves, I decided to upcycle pallet wood and old parquet flooring to create a unique decorative solution that is both eco-friendly and budget-friendly.
A Creative Upcycling Project With Reclaimed Wood
For this project, I combined:
• Recycled pallet wood• Old reclaimed wooden parquet
Pallet wood gives a rustic and natural look, while the reclaimed parquet brings warmth and smoothness to the design. Together, they create a perfect balance between raw wood charm and modern home decor.
Designing Functional and Decorative Wall Shelves
The idea was to build a wall feature that could serve as both decoration and storage.The vertical wooden slats form a beautiful background, while the shelves can hold plants, candles, frames, and everyday items.
This layout allows you to easily customize the shelf positions depending on your needs and space.
