From Waste to a Cleaner Neighborhood: A Reclaimed Materials Project ♻️
Sometimes, the best DIY projects are not about making something decorative they are about creating useful solutions for the community.

For this project, we designed and built practical supports for a local neighborhood organization that helps keep the streets and public spaces clean. The goal was simple: create something functional while using as many reclaimed and reused materials as possible.
♻️ Turning Reclaimed Materials Into Something Useful
For the construction, we combined three different materials:
Reclaimed wood for the main structure
Reused water pipes to create functional elements
Plexiglas for the protective and supporting parts
Instead of buying everything new, we looked at materials that were already available and gave them a second life.

This is one of the principles we love most at ATC Design: reuse what already exists
before producing something new.
🔨 A Simple Design With a Purpose
The supports were designed to be practical, stable and easy to use outdoors. The combination of wood, plexiglas and reused pipes also gives the project a unique industrial and upcycled appearance.
More importantly, the project demonstrates how DIY, recycling and community initiatives can work together.
A few discarded materials can become a useful solution that helps make our neighborhood cleaner.

🌱 Building a More Sustainable Community
Upcycling isn't only about furniture and decoration. It can also be about solving everyday problems with materials that might otherwise become waste.
Projects like this show that sustainability can start locally with a simple idea, some reclaimed materials and a willingness to build something yourself.
Reuse. Repair. Upcycle. Build.
That's the spirit behind this community project. ♻️
