I have wanted to make this lamp for a long time. One day it turned out that I have everything I need to do it. Great! :D
If you want to see more of my work, look here: facebook.com/kawawlesie or instagram.com/kawawlesie

I cut the coconut in 1/3 of the length, hollowed the pulp with a spoon

Then I smoothed the edges and the entire coconut with sandpaper

I drew a pattern on a coconut, then hollowed it with a multigrinder with a carving cutter

I used a drill to make dots

As the base of the lamp I used a wooden leg from the old sofa :D

In which I drilled a hole for the bulb holder and cable. I smoothed the wood with sandpaper and painted it with an oil stain. I painted the grooves in the coconut with golden paint, and covered the entire coconut with wax for wood

I connected the coconut with a stand using a copper wire so that you can easily open the lamp to change the bulb. I decided that the lamp will be closed with a button.
This is the final effect :)

I hope you like it :). Greetings!
A very nice project @Dorota Chwal, Well done! What do you think @Zac Builds and @Lou LoGiudice ?
Thank You :)
I think it is amazing.
@Lou LoGiudice Thank You Lou :)
Wow, very cool! Great attention to detail. Did you finish the exterior with anything or just leave it natural?
Thank You Zac :). I used wax
@Dorota Chwal I found a cool wax with a new sponsor. it's from Frenchic, a UK brand.
in case you are looking in the future. I have tried and it's not too bad...
@Mr ATC Thanks, I will try if there is an opportunity :)
This is amazing
Yes indeed! A cool project... I have a lot of coconut at the moment so I will try to do something similar, let's see!
LOVE This! It's beautiful! Questions: What kind of paint would be safe to paint the inside of coconut with when using a light? Or do the small twinkle lights not give off any heat? BTW Are you using a battery operated string light? Or plug-in electric? Reason for painting inside of coconut is to have a white light bulb hi-light the red so the RAYS show out red not white unless a person has access to a blue or green red pink?? light bulbs. What do you recommend?
Nice question! @Dorota Chwal you are the expert for this one ;)
