Hello everyone!
Welcome back to another project from the ATC Design workshop!
Today we're excited to show you something a little different. Instead of building furniture for a home or a restaurant, we had the opportunity to create a custom product display for Yves Rocher Antilles.

When they contacted us, they were looking for a display that matched their image: natural, elegant, and environmentally friendly. Since sustainability is at the heart of everything we build, we immediately knew that reclaimed wood would be the perfect choice.
If you've never visited their website before, take a look at https://yves-rocher-antilles.com/. They offer a fantastic selection of botanical skincare, cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty products inspired by nature, making them the ideal partner for a recycled wood project like this.
The Idea
Rather than using plastic or manufactured display stands, we wanted to build something warm and authentic.
The goal was simple:
Showcase the products beautifully
Stay true to the Yves Rocher identity
Use reclaimed materials whenever possible
Build something sturdy that could easily be transported and reused for future events
After sketching a few ideas, we settled on a clean and modern design with several shelves to display different products while keeping everything easy for customers to reach.
Sometimes, simplicity really is the best design.
Materials Used
For this project we used:
Reclaimed wooden boards
Pine strips for the shelves
Tools
Giving Old Wood a New Life
One of our favourite parts of every project is working with reclaimed wood.
Every board has its own personality. You never know exactly what you'll discover once you start sanding it down.

Old nail holes, knots and grain patterns become part of the final design instead of something to hide.
Not only does reclaimed wood look amazing, but it also helps reduce waste and gives perfectly usable materials a second life.
That's exactly what ATC Design is all about.
Creating the Burned Finish
To give the display even more character, we used one of our favourite finishing techniques.
Using a propane torch, we carefully burned the surface of the wood before brushing and protecting it.
This technique, inspired by the Japanese method Shou Sugi Ban, creates beautiful contrasts in the grain while also helping protect the wood from moisture and wear.
The lighter pine shelves contrast perfectly with the darker reclaimed wood, creating a natural and elegant look that really complements the Yves Rocher products.
A Display That Does More Than Hold Products
Of course, a display needs to look good...
But it also needs to be practical.
This stand was designed to:
Hold multiple product collections
Be stable during events
Be easy to transport
Last for many years
Reflect the natural identity of the brand
Instead of competing with the products, the reclaimed wood helps draw attention to them while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Why Sustainability Matters
Today's customers appreciate companies that genuinely care about the environment.
That's one of the reasons we enjoyed working with Yves Rocher Antilles.
Their commitment to botanical beauty and respect for nature fits perfectly with our mission of giving reclaimed wood a second life.

The Finished Result
After many hours of measuring, cutting, sanding, assembling and finishing, the display was finally complete.
Seeing it installed and filled with beautiful Yves Rocher products made all the hard work worthwhile.
Projects like these remind us why we love what we do.
It's not just about building something from wood...
It's about creating pieces that tell a story.
