Brighten Dark Corners with This Easy DIY Corner Light

Does your home have a dark corner that feels gloomy?
🌟In this DIY project, I’ll show you how to create a simple and stylish corner light that brightens any space. This easy project is perfect for beginners and can be customized to fit your home’s style. Plus, I’m including a free interactive plan so you can follow along with exact measurements!
Materials Needed
Tip: I’ll also show you how to fix curved slats using a planer for a perfect fit.
Step 1: Prepare the Wood
Some slats may be slightly curved. Use your thickness planer to remove imperfections. Then, cut your slats at a 20-degree angle using a miter saw for a clean, modern look.
Step 2: Mark LED Placement
Place one slat on the back support and mark where the LED lights will go. Drill holes in the second slat to create a slot that fits perfectly into the back support. Finish the cuts with a jigsaw.
Step 3: Check Wall Safety Before Drilling
Before mounting your light, you need to know what’s behind your wall: studs, pipes, and cables. For this, I recommend using a Walabot device.

Select your wall type (concrete or drywall)

always double-check before drilling to avoid accidents.
Step 4: Paint the Wall and Panels
I chose white paint to match my wall and brighten the corner. Wait until the paint dries completely before mounting the panels.
Step 5: Install the Panels
Place the first panel on the wall
Use a clipping system to attach the second panel securely
Add decorative touches, like small confetti dots, for a personalized look
Final Result
And voilà! 🎉You now have a functional and decorative corner light that transforms dark spaces into a cozy, bright area.
