Make your own candy coffin for Halloween // DIY

I’ve been thinking to make a Halloween candy dish for a while and this time everything was on time to create it!

Coffin from pallets wood:

I decided a coffin would probably make the most sense as a recognizable Halloween design. When I presented the project to the kids they loved it! That's was enough for me to move forward. The biggest problem with that plan is that a trick-or-treat candy coffin needs to be in dark conditions so the solution has been to burn the wood after the all creation.

You shouldn't confuse it with a jewelry box!

The fun part about building this was making it look as it's coming directly from a church (with a cross). To make mine look even more authentic, I used scraps of pallet wood.

You will also note that you shouldn't bother to figure out the angles needed to create the six sides. Since it is rustic looking, I wasn’t concerned with cutting anything exactly. But If you want to turn this into a fine woodworking project, you would probably want to figure out the exact angles and cut them accordingly.
